The Michigan Council of Chapters of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) will hold its first annual statewide convention on Friday, August 14, 2026, at the Doherty Hotel, 604 N. McEwan Street, Clare, Michigan.
This inaugural event will bring together MOAA members and chapter leaders from across Michigan for a day of collaboration centered on three important themes: Membership • Advocacy • Community

The convention will provide opportunities to exchange ideas, share best practices, and strengthen our collective effectiveness in support of MOAA’s mission and the uniformed services community we serve.
Program Time: Approximately 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
The convention program will include:
Hotel Accommodations
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Doherty Hotel for convention attendees.
Call the hotel at (989) 386-3441 and use reservation code "MICoC".
Discounted room rates: $112.00 Thursday, August 13 and $156.00 Friday, August 14
Discounted rates are available until July 14, 2026, after which remaining rooms will be released for general sale.
This first statewide convention represents an important step in strengthening collaboration among Michigan MOAA chapters. We encourage members from across the state to attend and help build a strong foundation for this new annual Council tradition.
